Howdy and welcome to Junior’s Bourbon Hall. I am Junior and today we will be making a Wisconsin Old Fashion. Growing up in Wisconsin this really the only way I knew to make Old Fashion. I also assumed everyone made them the same or at least knew what they were. Once I started traveling, I realized asking for an old fashion outside of Wisconsin would get you a dirty look from the waitress or bartender as they had no idea what you were asking for. If you got lucky and had a bartender from Wisconsin, you would get what you asked for. Most of the time if the waitress or bartender didn’t ask you would get s form of a Manhattan. Now this has changed drastically, and it seems that every state has a form of the old fashion.
Here is my version of the Wisconsin Old Fashion to impress your friends. Out for a Fish Fry or a nice dinner look for a place that muddles the Old Fashions.
Steps
- Cut the orange
- Luxardo Cherry

Cheers and enjoy
Junior
